Ten life skills students from Campbelltown Performing Arts High School and Lomandra recently attended a five week work ready program to hone their skills in resume writing, sourcing jobs, preparing for an interview and undertaking a mock interview.

MWLP Partnership Broker Manager, Dianna Ames said the workshop, which was a partnership between Ability Options, Careerzone, DEC, Dress for Success and Dress for Work offered students many benefits. “It builds self-esteem and equips our young men and women with knowledge and skills to become active and successful community members”, she said.

Not only did the students receive practical advice on how to dress for an interview they actually got to take an outfit home.

The boys, who attended their workshop separately, were treated to a guided tour of the Sydney Cricket Ground and got to meet famous NRL Gold Coast Titans player and All Stars Legend Preston Campbell.
