An elite group of Macarthur HSC Hospitality students were recently given an opportunity of a lifetime, thanks to a partnership between MWLP and HTN, Hospitality Employment Solutions.
Thirty of MWLP’s best Hospitality work placement students were rewarded with a visit to the P & O Cruise Ship, the Pacific Pearl and were given an overview of the massive catering operation. Students were blown away by the numbers quoted about the size of the food orders to cater for the hungry passengers.
The students were shown around the public areas of the ship and then viewed the ship’s galley during the lunchtime service.
The top two students were given an extra award for excelling in their Hospitality work placement and were presented with embroidered chefs’ jackets, books, certificates and a money-can’t-buy work experience opportunity with Aqua Dining, Milsons Point.
Congratulations go to Adrian Malecki from Mount Carmel High School who was nominated by Wests Leagues Club and James Bird from Broughton Anglican College who was nominated by Outback Steakhouse.
