Macarthur Careers Expo leads to exciting job prospects

Apr 27, 2016

The Macarthur Careers Expo is on again at the Minto Indoor Sports Centre on Thursday June 9 2016.

This premier careers event is expected to attract over 3000 Year 10, 11 and 12 students from both government and non-government schools and focuses on career exploration, transition from school and industry showcase.

This year, with the guidance of Macarthur Career Advisors and MWLP – Linking Youth, the expo will have a greater focus on hands-on and interactive participation from exhibitors to help better engage the students.

Tiana Batista, Careers Coordinator, hopes to create a number of ‘hot spots’ on the expo floor with live demonstrations and workshops.  There will be seminars from the University Admissions Centre, SWSi Tafe, NRL NSW as well as giveaways on the day.

Exhibitors will be encouraged to think outside the square when setting up their displays, so hopefully the day will have a different look and feel to previous years.

2016 participants include the NRL, AFL Sports Ready, National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), Colleges specialising in hospitality, childcare, legal studies, aged care, fashion/beauty, media studies, tourism and management, Gap Year Options, Apprenticeship Centres, all major Sydney Universities, University of Wollongong, Western Sydney University, University of Canberra, Bond University, local businesses and many more.

There are limited sponsorship packages still available for businesses interested in showcasing their organisations to thousands of students, teachers and other exhibitors.
